Ann Marie Corgill teaches second grade at the Manhattan New School. She is a National Board Certified Teacher, and for the past twelve years has taught grades 1-4 in Birmingham, Alabama and New York City. She presents at both national and local conferences on writing instruction in the primary grades, and is the forthcoming author of a book on writing for Stenhouse publishers. She has
co-authored articles for NCTE’s journal, Primary Voices, and has been a teacher contributor for Time For Kids. Her classroom work and children’s writing are featured in Craft Lessons and Writing Workshop, The Essential Guide by Ralph Fletcher and JoAnn Portalupi and Poetry Matters: Writing Poetry From The Inside Out by Ralph Fletcher.
