Celeste Farmer is currently a mathematics coach in New York City. She has been teaching mathematics grades 6-12, for over 20 years. As a math teacher her goal has been to help her students develop a better understanding and appreciation for the subject.
Prior to coaching, she served as a coordinator for the mathematics department at an inner city High School. While in this position, she provided staff development and was instrumental in creating a math-science curriculum, organizing a math-science fair and coordinating a math team.
Celeste Farmer graduated with a B.A. in Science Education from St. Joseph’s College and a Masters degree in Mathematics Education from New York University; she is currently working towards a Masters degree in Educational Administration.
