For 24 years, educator Cindy Cantrell has shared her joy of learning with both students and teachers
alike. It is her infectious excitement for teaching children how to think creatively and read
independently that has brought her all over the United States as an in-demand speaker and
workshop leader.
Cindy has been a classroom teacher, administrator, university instructor, and reading trainer for a
number of major educational publishers, including Wright Group, McGraw Hill, and Pearson
Learning. She has also authored and produced a popular educational video series, The Art of Guided
Reading. Strategies for Success, her educational consulting firm, has helped many individuals and
institutions kick-start their reading programs.
Cindy holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education from Columbus State University in
Georgia. She has received additional training in Educational Leadership and Reading Recovery from
Columbus State University and Ohio State University
