Douglas C. Stokes is currently a Curriculum Resource Teacher in a NJ school district. His responsibilities include coaching/ mentoring both non-tenured and tenured staff, writing and disseminating curricula and modeling lessons on pedagogy, classroom management and current educational trends. Stokes also provides workshops to all district staff through Inservices, faculty meetings and the local Professional Development Institute. Moreover, Stokes serves as a District Facilitator in promoting Professional Learning Communities (PLC's). These PLC's encourage all levels of administration, faculty/ staff and the community to engage in professional dialogue to improve teacher learning, as well as increasing student achievement and success. Prior to his current position, he was a classroom teacher in both an urban setting and suburban setting. Stokes also holds a State of NJ Supervisors Certificate.
