Ellen P. Hench is completing her doctoral work at the University of Virginia in the Educational Psychology program with an emphasis in Gifted Education. Ellen serves as adjunct faculty in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the University of Virginia, where she teaches graduate level courses, including a full course in Differentiated Instruction, for educators working toward their state endorsement in Gifted Education. On a monthly basis, Ellen provides coaching in Differentiated Instruction for two elementary schools in the Henry County, VA School Division. Ellen offers professional development workshops on Differentiated Instruction and Education for Advanced Learners with particular expertise in working with teachers in elementary schools. She has also worked as a graduate instructor in the pre-service teacher education program and the Reading First Evaluation team.
