James Mc Enaney, M. Ed. is currently an Assistant Principal who taught
middle school Social Studies and Literacy for several years. His range of
classroom teaching experience varies from sixth grade talented and gifted to
ninth grade struggling readers. He currently supervises all subject areas in
grades five through eight with a strong focus on integrating reading and
writing through the content areas. In addition, his work around
differentiating instruction and cooperative learning has raised the level of
teaching and learning in his school.
Mr. Mc Enaney has presented at the National Council for Social Studies in
Washington, D.C., won two writing awards around cooperative learning in NYC,
and is currently in the PHD program in K-12 Leadership.
Over the last three years, Mr. Mc Enaney has taught several graduate level
courses at a New York university. These included Teaching Reading through
Social Studies (7-12), Curriculum and Assessment in Middle School and
Critical Issues of Social Studies Teaching.
