Jason Sullivan currently serves as the Science Supervisor for a NJ high
school. He received a BS in Chemistry and Med in Educational Technology
degrees from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. His teaching
career began at a Junior High School where he taught math and science. He
was also recognized for coaching a nationally ranked Science Olympiad team
and tennis coach.
After transitioning to New Jersey in 2002, Jason taught AP Chemistry and
Physics before assuming the role as department supervisor. He has
co-authored and served as a curriculum trainer for the RxeSearch: A
Pharmaceutical Journey curriculum and is a workshop leader for the Modeling
Methods of Instruction program developed at Arizona State University.
Recently, Jason collaborated with the NJ Dept. of Education on the
development of exemplar unit plans to accompany the release of the 2009
Revised Core Curriculum Content Standards. Jason's true passion is with
students in the classroom. He currently teaches two-sections of physics his
HS and also serves as an adjunct professor of physics at a NJ university.
