Kristina Doubet is a doctoral student at the University of Virginia pursuing her Ph.D. in “Curriculum and Instruction” with an emphasis in gifted education.  A former ten-year English teacher, she currently serves as an instructor to pre-service teachers at UVA.  While at the university, Kristina has worked extensively with a “Talent Development” program at a local middle school to develop high-quality, challenging curriculum for traditionally underserved low-economic/minority populations.  Kristina has also participated in long-term investigations into the impact of differentiated instruction on middle-school classroom practices and talent-identification in primary grades.  She works with practicing teachers – both nationally and abroad – in staff development programs on differentiating instruction
