Dr. Laura Weitzman holds multiple certifications in education. In her present position in a NJ school district, she has an opportunity to use all of her training as she oversees special education, gifted and talented program, guidance, and speech/language specialists. Dr. Weitzman has served as an instructor for alternate route teachers and has been involved in staff development training on the topic of inclusion/collaborative teaching and differentiating instruction. She has also authored a book and several articles, relating to the field.

Multiculturalism - Creating a Welcome School Culture This workshop will give school personnel the tools to address a major educational issue in our schools by developing cultural competency. Laura will address what multiculturalism is and how it impacts particularly schools directly. Most of the workshop will focus on what schools do to be pro-active:
