Lynn Holcomb is the K-8 Literacy Coordinator for a school district in New York. Formerly a staff developer for the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University as well as an educational consultant in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York, Lynn has also taught literacy courses at Tufts University and Pace University. Before becoming a staff developer, Lynn was a building-based Literacy Consultant, Reading Recovery Teacher, and a classroom teacher in Connecticut. In addition to presenting many literacy workshops for teachers in grades K-6 over the years, Lynn has also presented at both the IRA and NCTE national conferences. She recently received the New York State English Council’s Educator of Excellence Award for leadership in the field of literacy.
