When we ask students to not only talk about their reading, but to write about it, we teach them how to
engage in reading in the deepest, most meaningful ways. This session will examine various ways of
reading, talking, and writing which incorporate reading independently, in small groups or whole class. We
will explore one classroom in depth focusing on implementing Reader-Writer notebooks, interactive
writing with the whole class, and using "Write-Arounds" for research and investigation studies.

Fee:
$175 per person. The fee is reduced to $155 per person
for any teacher/administrator who can register 6 weeks prior to
the workshop date. |
Cancellations one week prior to the workshop date, will be refunded less a $15.00 cancellation fee. Late cancellations will receive credit towards an upcoming workshop. Substitutions are allowed at any time.
If workshop is cancelled due to the inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled. Refunds will not be granted, but we will issue credit toward a future workshop. |
| Payment is due prior to the workshop. No cash, please. Fee includes seminar registration, a personalized certificate of attendance, refreshments, and a resource handbook. On-site registration is available, if space allows. Please call ahead to check on space availability. |
