George Mugno completed his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at RIT, was an electrical engineer for 17yrs doing analog, digital, and software design. Before changing careers, he was in charge of the Test Engineering Dept. for a multinational electronics manufacturer. George earned his MSED in Mathematics Education at Lehman College and has been teaching for four years in the urban schools of NYC. He is currently teaching Precalculus, Coordinating 13 sections of a Problem Solving Course and coaching the teachers new to the Problem Solving Course. George created the Problem Solving Course to improve standardized test scores for at-risk students. The students taking the course average 10% higher on the NYS Math A Regents exam compared with their school mates who didn’t take the course. George has presented multi-day workshops on problem solving for several schools and organizations in NYC.
