Jeanne Maskell
   

Jeanne Maskell is a Mathematics Specialist. Her duties include coaching and mentoring elementary mathematics teachers. She also teaches courses in mathematics education, supervises student teachers, and presents workshops for elementary and secondary level teachers in school districts.
Jeanne graduated with a BA in Mathematics from Gettysburg College. She taught High School and Middle School mathematics for the Department of Defense in Ramstein Germany and for several school districts in New Jersey. Her graduate work in education includes degrees from Ball State University and The College of New Jersey.

From 1998-2005 Jeanne was Mathematics Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for West Windsor–Plainsboro Regional School District in New Jersey
Jeanne actively volunteers in several organizations. She participates with the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New Jersey (AMTNJ). She serves on the Executive Board and as a Committee Chair during conferences. Since 2005 she has served as Newsletter Editor for the association. She serves as a volunteer tutor with elementary children at a community center in Pemberton Township, NJ.

As a mathematics consultant, Jeanne's workshops include presentations on technology, using games to enhance instruction, and using calculators. She has been trained as a consultant for Everyday Mathematics.

Jeanne believes that teachers and their students must be active participants in the development of their own understanding of mathematics.
