Kristina
Doubet is a doctoral student at the University of
Virginia pursuing her Ph.D. in “Curriculum and
Instruction” with an emphasis in gifted education. A
former ten-year English teacher, she currently serves as
an instructor to pre-service teachers at UVA. While at
the university, Kristina has worked extensively with a
“Talent Development” program at a local middle school to
develop high-quality, challenging curriculum for
traditionally underserved low-economic/minority
populations. Kristina has also participated in
long-term investigations into the impact of
differentiated instruction on middle-school classroom
practices and talent-identification in primary grades.
She works with practicing teachers – both nationally and
abroad – in staff development programs on
differentiating instruction
