William Gioia is currently an Assistant Principal and staff developer. He started teaching second and third when he was accepted into Teach for America in June, 1998. He then taught 4th grade and during that time trained teachers in utilizing the balanced literacy block. William has presented workshop on many topics including Understanding by Design, Differentiating Instruction, Balanced Literacy, Readers and Writers Workshop and Everyday Math.
