Sarah Lorenz is a professional development consultant from Michigan. She
has been part of the Eastern Michigan Writing Project since 1997, serving in
various capacities such as Co-director, Professional Development
Coordinator, and State Coordinator for the National Writing Projects of
Michigan. Sarah presents frequently at schools throughout Southeastern
Michigan on literacy topics. She has taught writing to students from first
grade through college and served as Curriculum Director and Principal. She
has extensive experience with school improvement and accreditation through
AdvancEd/NCA-CASI and the Coalition of Essential Schools. Sarah's articles
have appeared in Kappan, English Journal, and other publications, and she
was an item writer for ACT/PLAN for many years.
