As a literacy specialist, Scott Popplewell captivates his audiences with his passion,
enthusiasm, inspiration, and humor. For the past 27 years, Scott has had
experiences in the classroom as an elementary teacher as well as several
years of traveling the United States, serving as a professional development
consultant with teachers and administrators. Combined, these experiences
enable him to present a wealth of techniques and strategies for developing
literacy in students, all as a result of being "in the trenches".
Currently, he teaches undergraduate and graduate literacy courses at a
University in Indiana and also conducts staff development sessions with
schools , including going into classrooms and modeling lessons.
