Vanessa Baker entered the NYC public school system as an Algebra/Geometry
instructor at the secondary level in 2004. Vanessa has designed a
constructivist classroom offering differentiated instruction to provide
intervention and enrichment opportunities for a wide range of students. She
has shared her proven techniques at national CES conferences (2007/2008).
Her workshops provide practical ways of spiraling math content and skills
across and within grade levels. These tools facilitate increased student
comprehension and retention through multiple exposures. Vanessa also
provides methods of creating data-driven assessment to evaluate student
skills. Her easily implemented techniques focus on conceptual growth at all
levels.
