Ralph Fletcher
is a friend of writing teachers. His books on writing include What a Writer Needs, Craft Lessons (co-authored with his wife JoAnn Portalupi), and the brand new Nonfiction Craft Lessons. He has written a series of books for young writers including A Writer's Notebook, Live Writing, and How Writers Work. His middle grade novels include Fig Pudding, Flying Solo, and Uncle Daddy. As author and consultant, Ralph has worked with teachers around the U.S and abroad. He is a former member of the Teachers College Writing Project.
