Aimee Buckner

Aimee Buckner is a fourth grade teacher in Gwinnett County, Georgia. She has taught for 14 years and it's from her classroom experience in which she shares writing strategies in her book, Notebook Know-How: Strategies for the Writer's Notebook. Coupled with real classroom stories, Aimee shares ideas to implement and maintain a writer's notebook as a regular part of writer's workshop. Currently teaching fourth grade, Aimee filmed her newest video : Inside Notebooks demonstrating notebook strategies and how a writer's notebook can support genre studies.
Although Aimee continues to teach in a regular education classroom, she has also enjoyed working with various literacy institutes around the country.
During the summers, Aimee consults with teachers of various grade levels, especially teachers in grades 3 - 8.
