Bonnie Brown Walmsley

Bonnie Brown Walmsley received a B. S. in Early Childhood Education at Kent
State University and her M. S. in Reading at Harvard Graduate School of
Education. Her most recent book is Welcome To Kindergarten, coauthored with
Debra Wing (Heinemann, 2004). She has also coauthored Kindergarten, Ready or
Not? (Heinemann, 1998), Teaching Kindergarten: A Developmentally-Centered
Approach (Heinemann, 1994), Teaching Kindergarten: A Theme-Centered
Curriculum (Heinemann, 1994), and Teaching with Favorite Marc Brown Books
(Scholastic, 1999). She has presented at national conferences and done
workshops throughout the United States. She is an adjunct in the Reading
Department at a NY University. She has taught Headstart, Grades 1 and 2 and
currently is teaching kindergarten in N.Y.
