Christina Vreeland

Christina E. Lugo Vreeland completed both undergraduate and graduate programs at Rutgers University. She taught English to basic skills, standard, and honors students in grades nine through twelve and also collaborated on the research for Carol Weinstein's book, Secondary Classroom Management while teaching. Currently, Vreeland is a supervisor of language arts (K-12) in a school district in central New Jersey. In this capacity, she edits the district's award-winning K-12 writers' magazine, facilitates the administration and scoring of an annual writing assessment for students in grades three through ten, conducts training sessions for grade-level groups as well as for the district's twenty-four schools, and writes new curriculum. Currently, her emphasis is on the development and refinement of genre-based writing workshop curricula for all grade levels. Vreeland also facilitates writers' groups for adults in the school district and at her North Brunswick home.
