Overview of Asperger Syndrome
Asperger Syndrome is a pervasive developmental disorder that presents
challenges to students in the classroom. This workshop will present an
overview of Asperger Syndrome, what it is, its characteristics, and how it
manifests itself in the classroom. The session will also provide ways that
school personnel can work with these children.
Asperger Syndrome: Strategies in the Classroom
Asperger Syndrome presents challenges for the student and for the teacher.
These challenges impact the areas of language, communications, sensory
integration, and social skills. The result is often behavioral
difficulties. This workshop will focus on strategies for positive behavior
outcomes.
