Lora Martinez
   
Lora Martinez worked as a teacher and literacy coach in Region 9 Manhattan and as a staff developer for the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project. During her time as a 4th grade teacher, she worked as a school liaison with the American Museum of Natural History education department, creating and implementing science and social studies units that incorporated literacy. After leaving the classroom to become a literacy coach, she worked alongside teachers to develop and implement the school’s reading and writing curriculum. She also conducted in-service and regional workshops on a wide range of reading and writing topics. During her time as a staff developer for the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, she worked with both upper elementary and middle school teachers.
