Mary Lee Prescott Griffin plans and presents a number of workshops and teacher training sessions each year on topics related to literacy. She is also a regular presenter at regional and national conferences such as NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English), MRA (Massachusetts Reading Educators), and IRA (International Reading Association). Mary Lee also serves on a number of local and national organizations and committees focused on literacy. Her recent publishing credits include articles in Language Arts, The Reading Teacher, and Under the Spell of Books: The RI College Journal on Literature for Children and Young Adults. She is the author of three books published by Heinemann – Fluency In Focus: Comprehension Strategies for All Young Readers (with Nancy Witherell, 2004) and Reader to Reader: Building Independence Through Peer Partnerships (2005) and Writer to Writer: Fluency and Craft in Multilingual Classrooms (2008).
