Shelly Klein has been a successful educator for the last 22 years. Her experience ranges from classroom teacher and school administrator to staff developer and literacy consultant. Shelly has written charter applications, lectured at the college level as well as authored district-wide curricula. Shelly has provided professional development for well over 200 schools and has worked for many years utilizing the ongoing professional learning model for literacy development and change. She has worked in Tri State area school districts including: Allendale, Brooklyn, Cliffside Park, Edgewater, Fairview, Franklin Lakes, Harlem, Irvington, Irvington on the Hudson, Palisades Park, Short Hills-Milburn, Thornwood, West Milford, West New York, Woodbridge, West Milford, Waldwick, and Wyckoff…just to name a few. Shelly has presented single and multiday workshops in public, independent and parochial schools both locally and on a national level. Shelly holds a Masters Degree in Education and Reading, is a certified Reading Specialist, and former New Jersey Governor Teacher of the Year. Shelly is best known for her extensive knowledge in Literacy, her experience and sensitivity teaching a variety of learners, and her kind, supportive manner.
