Tanya Maloney

Dr. Tanya Maloney, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Secondary and Special Education at a NJ State University,
Her research focuses on issues of race and equity, specifically in the preparation and development of mathematics and science teachers. She previously served as Director of the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship, Urban Teacher Residency Program for prospective mathematics and science teachers. In this role, Maloney collaborated with the Woodrow Wilson Foundation to recruit, select, and prepare teaching fellows for K-12 schools in the Newark metropolitan area. Tanya also coordinated the Mentorship Program for Teach For America's Philadelphia corps members in the Master of Arts in Urban Education program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned her doctorate. Maloney has served as a teacher development consultant to public and private schools in California, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
